Ramesh (Ron) Mehta
CEO, Moai Technologies

Mr. Mehta is a well rounded and seasoned businessman with more than 20 years of leadership experience, including global and domestic general management responsibilities. His diversified leadership encompasses strategic and operational (P&L) experience in a wide range of companies from Global 500s ( Digital - HP, Siemens) to startups(Bootstraps as well as VC Funded).

Recently, he architected and led the M&A and private equity investment for Moai and Medebiz. Further he led and successfully executed merger, integration, restructuring, consolidation, rationalization, and turn around. In the process he has honed his innate skills, of due diligence, negotiation, deal architecting, as well as transformation. Investment group included HP, Intel, UPS, Merrill Lynch, Accenture, CIBC, Seligman, Reuters and Eastman.

For over 10 years, Mr. Mehta has been angel investing, guiding, growing and managing several high-technology companies. He founded Medebiz, a health care supply chain solution provider; American Hytech Corporation, a telecom/B.P.O. solution provider; Netguru, a network management solutions company, and Instaplan, a project planning and management software company. InstaPlan was founded in his basement during 1987, in collaboration with WIPRO was truly a first product company developed via a BPO model, pioneered by Mr. Mehta.

Previously, in a career spanning 10 years, Mr. Mehta held key operating executive positions with profit and loss responsibility at both Siemens Corporation and Digital Equipment Corporation (now HP). He has built a stellar reputation in BPO and Global Business management, multinational/OEM, channel management, mass merchandising, and international marketing/operations and finance. He increased the market share in Japan, Korea, Australia, China and countries in Europe and South America. He won large ($15M to $75M) multi-national contracts with Olivetti, ICL, Marubeni, Mitsubishi, Shell, Nippon Sttel, Xerox, Ford, Chase, CitiGroup, American Express, Unilever and Reuters, Lucent, AT&T, NCR and various governments.

Mr. Mehta served on the board of directors of the World Trade Center, CEO Forum, and the Springboard Angels. He is an adjunct professor at Carnegie Mellon University Graduate School of Industrial Administration. In recognition of his efforts and success, he has received the US Small Business Administration Businessman of the Year Award, along with several other accolades/awards from the Department of Defense and other agencies as well as various industry associations and the press. He has shared his experiences at speaking forums throughout the world, including Internet World Expo, Comdex, Mid-Atlantic CEO Retreat, Asia Pacific Forum, The Indus Entrepreneurs, The White House, European and Asian conferences, MIT, Harvard, the New England Association of Medicine, and Department of Commerce seminars.

 
Michael B. Nelson

Mr. Nelson was formerly executive vice president of PNC Bank and founder of VentureBank@PNC. An executive with PNC Bank since 1980, Mike, in his most recent position, was responsible for clients nationally in the high technology and emerging growth sectors. During his career with PNC Bank, he opened the Los Angeles office and served as manager of the New York office in 1988. In 1989, he was elected vice president and manager of international banking. Later, Mike was named president of PNC International Bank. He is a registered securities principal and a registered securities representative. Mike is currently a director on the board of RedSiren.
 
John Kohler
Co-CEO, Redleaf
Mr. Kohler has more than 26 years of technology industry and business. He has been heavily involved in technology product formation and has been concentrating on Internet startups since 1994. John's background includes twelve years of executive level positions in sales operations, product division general management and worldwide customer support organizations at Hewlett Packard, Convergent Technologies/Unisys and Silicon Graphics. He was one of the founding executives at Netscape Communications. John is currently chairman of the board at RedCreek Communications and on the board of Internet startups Lumicyte, Semio Corporation, Startups.com and Wireless OnLine. John received his bachelor's degree from UCLA and has served on advisory committees to the U.S. Department of Commerce and the Council on Foreign Relations.
 
John Thorne

Mr. Thorne was founder and chairman of The Enterprise Corporation of Pittsburgh, an economic development organization that recently merged with Innovation Works. He also serves as a director of several technology ventures, and he is also well known for his work in entrepreneurial education and his assistance of entrepreneurs who are starting new ventures.

Before coming to Carnegie Mellon he was the founder and CEO of The Scionics Corporation, director of the computer systems laboratory of Litton Industries, manager of financial analysis for Hughes Aircraft Company and development engineer for Westinghouse Electric Corporation.

Thorne earned a BS in engineering from Brown University, an MS in electrical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and an MSIA from Carnegie Mellon.
 
George Tymas
Vice President of Finance
George Tymas, CPA brings more than 20 years of financial, business, entrepreneurial and operational experiences to Moai, most of which have been spent in accounting, and tax planning and administration. George has been assisting Moai technologies in variety of areas in finance and for over past ten years. Most recently, he was group controller of finance and administration at Medebiz, corporation.

He held a variety of executive management roles (as manager of audit and accounting group etc.) both with Medebiz and his prior companies. He has a deep and diversified experience including building the financial infrastructure, raising equity, securing debt financing and leading the extensive Mergers & Acquisition activities. In addition, he played an important role in the integration of the acquisitions, administering certain business units of the operations and leading the development of a several new lines of business.

Prior to Medebiz, George had his own accounting, tax and auditing practice serving variety of small and medium sized businesses all throughout western Pennsylvania. He has served on various boards, including many other civic and professional organizations. George holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Accounting from Duquesne University and his CPA license from state of Pennsylvania
