PITTSBURGH - Moai Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of technology-enabled sourcing solutions, announced today the signing of an agreement that strengthens its alliance with Chrysalis Information Systems Limited, an India-based software company with expertise in n-tier framework development and enterprise integration. The expanded partnership will allow Moai to significantly shorten its product development cycle, while reducing development costs. Chrysalis has successfully collaborated with Moai for the last two years on product development and quality assurance of Moai’s CompleteSourceÔ solution suite. With the strengthened alliance, Moai’s U.S. product development and management teams will continue to define the strategic direction of its application suite and functionality requirements, while IT professionals at Chrysalis will have increased responsibilities in quality assurance, coding and testing. With more than 150 IT professionals, Chrysalis will enable Moai to more quickly increase the breadth of its solutions.
“In response to the growing e-Sourcing market, we have been looking to complement our development capabilities in North America with more cost-effective offshore capabilities,”
said Mike Nelson, managing director of Redleaf Group, Inc. and chairman of Moai’s board of directors. “A continued strategic partnership with Chrysalis will allow us to better manage engineering costs, while retaining complete control over our application suite."
“We work closely with our customers and know what they are expecting from us as we extend the capabilities of our e-Sourcing applications,” said Ramesh Mehta, CEO of Moai Technologies. “By deploying programmers and QA/support professionals offshore, we will be able to create a 24-hour development process, allowing us to more rapidly respond to changes in the marketplace and deliver solutions that will meet our customers’ expanding sourcing needs. This strategic relationship will not only strengthen and broaden our product development capability, but will also vastly expand our customization and integration services – an increasingly important need in the e-Sourcing marketplace.”
“We have enjoyed working with Moai thus far,” said Alok Arora, president of Chrysalis, “and are looking forward to playing a more active role in developing new applications that will build on the success of its strategic e-Sourcing solution.”
